I’ve had many clients utterly fail when presented with a challenging workout. I’ve seen them get dizzy, nauseous, and even really angry with me. “I can’t do this”, or “you believe in me more that I do”, is often stated. They are frustrated.
But I’m here to say that failure and frustration isn’t bad and it’s certainly not final. For most everyone the path to fitness is something that has to be learned and practiced everyday. It’s a skill that has to be honed through training and education. Even professional athletes have coaches and go to practice.
So when you’re tired or don’t want to push through that last rep don’t let the fear of failure hold you back. The sun is still shining. Your dog still loves you. Once you’ve realized that failure isn’t the end, nothing else matters.
